MOH Chronicles: Conclusion

Whew! I made it through my first ever stint as a bridesmaid. The wedding was beautiful. The weather was beautiful, but most of all Jesse was beautiful.

Here's that veil I stressed over so much. All I can say is Jesse made it look like a million bucks!

Just before putting on the dress. You would think they (whoever they are) would make those things easier to get on! My mom and I had to hold that puppy open from both ends to get Jesse in there without messing up her hair. I do believe that was the hardest job I've ever had.

Here we are together. She's so beautiful!

Excuse me while I go grab a tissue...

...Ok, I'm back.

Showing her sass.

So sweet.

My mom took most of these with my camera. When I showed her this one she said, "how cool am I? I totally made that sun thing happen on purpose!" She's so cute. :-)

Dancing with her "little" brother.

Speaking of "little" brothers...is there some unwritten rule that they must be taller than us? And do they have to start acting like our "big" brothers once they are? Bossing us around like it's their job?

Gorgeous girl.

The flowers were fabulous if I do say so myself, and I do.

These are my two favorite pictures of me. Is it weird that they're both of my back?

Jesse-

You were the most beautiful bride I have ever seen. I am honored that you chose me to share your special day. I only wish I could have done more. Our friendship has been going strong for over a decade and what a great decade it has been! From Darren's Dance Grooves to watching Crossroads a million times to singing at the top of our lungs to the silliest of songs, we've been together through it all. We've laughed, we've cried, we've yelled, we've complained, we've hugged, and we've loved. I can't imagine living my life without you. Here's to many more decades as BFFs.

I will love you always.

Challenge Day 10: Goals for the Future

I just realized I never finished my previous blog challenge. Not to be confused with my current blog challenge. Am I crazy or what?

Between the crazy heat here in OK and traveling for my best friend's wedding I haven't been the best blogger. Plus, I don't really have any goals for the future so I've just been kinda putting this one off. You know, because I do love to procrastinate.

Anyway, like I said I don't really have any future goals. I can tell you what my mom would like me to say which is that I'll get married and have babies...ASAP, but that's not really on my list of things to do so I'll see what I can come up with.

These aren't big goals of any long term length or great excitement, but they're some things I've been working on.

1. Finally, finally, finally finish college! Woohoo! December, here I come!
2. Become a master of fabulous photography.
3. Eat a giant pile of bacon for dinner.
4. Start making my own pizza dough instead of using pre-made crusts. Those things are quite chewy!
5. Send more handwritten letters and notes. I rely way too much on technology...
6. Be better at letting the people I love know that I love them.
7. De-cluttering my house so it will look like a model home!
8. Finish some of my 5,000 partially completed projects.
9. Learn how to decorate cakes.
10. Learn to knit.

Whew! That wasn't so hard, but I think 10 is more than enough for now.

Come back tomorrow to see the latest instalment of my latest blog challenge. Say that five times fast.

Oh, and hopefully sometime today I'll post the conclusion to my MOH Chronicles. :-)

Happy August!

Photo Challenge Week 1 : Self Portrait

Challenge time! I do so love a good challenge. Especially one that involves my camera because I love him/her. It's genderless, if you'll recall. This weeks challenge from A Step in the Journey is self portrait. Not to brag on myself (except that I totally am...), but I was the QUEEN of self portraits with my little point and shoot. Any time you turned around you might catch me cheesing it up for my own camera, but since acquiring my DSLR self portraits are a no go. They're hard work!

I finally set the camera on a table and used the timer. I don't look fabulous, but that could have something to do with the fact that I've been up since 3am and on an airplane for 7ish hours. Please ignore my shiny face, my tired eyes, and my bad posture. Thank you.

Whoa Nelly! Am I ever looking rough, and yes, I'm sitting in a hotel room. I've gotta share it all, man, and that's just where I'm at right now. Ha!

After I shot the pic of myself I used my Cheez-it's as a model. They do exactly as they're told. I think I'll eat them for a snack to show my appreciation. I also think it's funny that most of the picture is completely blown out except for the deliciously cheesy crackers. That must be why they rule the world of crackers.

Up next week: what makes you smile.

New Challenge!

I am a challenge accepting fool, I tell ya! I hope I'm not starting to resemble Barney Stinson...I don't wear suits so I should still be good.

I came across this blog today called A Step in the Journey and she's (Laura Beth) hosting a 20 week photography challenge. Who am I not to jump on that bandwagon?

Anyway, it starts tomorrow, and here is the list:

A Step in the Journey Photography Challenge

I'm super pumped! Especially since I have a week to accomplish each task. I'm a bit of a procrastinator if you'll recall...
