When I was a little girl I dreamed that one day I would be a ballerina. I would put on one of my grandma's fluttery night gowns, and she would safety pin it up in the back so it wouldn't fall off. Then I would put on my little ballet slippers turn on some music and dance. Every time I visited my grandparents I would perform a show. They applauded, of course, and told me how fantastic I was. I thought, someday...I'll be amazing!
The thing is, I never took a single dance class. Not to mention the fact that I can’t dance. Like at all. In fact, I’m pretty sure you could compare my dancing to a half dead beetle bouncing around on the ground.
But, none of that mattered to my little girl self. She wanted to be a ballerina and when she was dancing there was no one better.
I feel the same way as a big girl about my photography. I know I’m not great, but when I have my camera in my hands I feel like a professional with a passion and there’s no one better.
My dream of becoming a graceful ballerina may not have come true, but I’m determined to become a passionate photographer with beautiful images to share.
Someday…
I will be.
In the meantime while I wait, practice, and grow perhaps I’ll have a nice frosty beverage.
Here’s to making dreams come true!

Sometimes…
A girl just needs some peanut butter and chocolate.
And some hot pink moccasins wouldn’t hurt either.

25 Reasons to Paint
I would like to state, for the record, that this photo has absolutely no correlation to what I’m about to write. I just like it. So…I’m sharing.
1. I’ve officially lived in my house for 1 year, 6 months, and 19 days.
2. In that time I’ve painted one wall orange and 7 walls gray.
3. I think it’s about time for more walls to meet my paint brush, don’t you?
4. My dilemma is that my living space is one GIANT space.
5. Which means painting is a HUGE undertaking.
6. Which means I’m overwhelmed.
7. Which is not the opposite of underwhelmed because underwhelmed is not a word.
8. Whelmed isn’t a word either.
9. Who invented this language anyway???
10. Right now all but 8 of my walls are what I like to refer to as the inner depths of a week old banana pudding.
11.Particularly where the vanilla wafer meets the pudding and they’ve become one.
12. Are you picturing a brownish yellowish goldish color?
13. Good.
14. So, I’m leaning toward a nice neutral beige for the most part.
15. Possibly something like this:
16. But, I really think if I paint all of the GIANT walls in my living area the same color I’ll be bored.
17. And who wants to be bored?
18. Consider this (because I am): what if I paint the back wall of my dining room an accent color?
19. Can you dig it?
20. I’m digging it.
21. You know what would be so helpful to determine the answers to all of my questions?
22.Some pictures.
23. I’ll work on that.
24. After I clean my house.
25. After I procrastinate some more.

The Fiesta Bowl pt. 2
We’ve made it to the stadium!
Now, on to the party!
Well, hello there College Football’s Biggest Party! I don’t mind if I do!
I was totally holding this for a friend… Haha! Or not. It was quite wheaty with an orangey twist.
Sea. Of. Orange.
I love this.
Here come the COWBOYS!!!
Defense!
I wish I had had my real camera in there so my pictures were better, but who can keep track of a camera with all this excitement?!
Brandon Weeden = Best Quarter Back EVER
The Pokes win! The Pokes win!
I’ll be honest…this picture is actually from when we thought Colton Chelf had gotten a TD, but I like how I caught this guy doing the Pistols Firing! so I’m pretending it happened after the field goal that actually won the game.
And…uh…just because I’m all about sharing…here I am in the port-a-potty city. I was so confused…
And, yes, I realize I’m wearing my real camera in this picture, but I took it back to the car before the game.
I hope you enjoyed the Fiesta Bowl! I know I did!
Go Pokes!!!

The Fiesta Bowl pt. 1
Now that November is out of the way we can move on to December, but I’m pretty sure I’ve shown enough Christmas tree pictures to last anyone a lifetime so I think for your sake and mine, but mostly yours that I’ll skip right on in to January.
January 2, 2012. If we’re being exact, and I am.
Ok, this journey really begins December 30, 2011, but January 2nd is when all the excitement happens!
12/30/11: I headed West in route to I-40 so that it may take me all the way to Arizona for The Fiesta Bowl!
Of course I didn’t take that picture through the windshield while I was driving! What do you think I am? Crazy?!
Morning of 12/31/11: Hello New Mexico! One state away from our target!
Evening of 12/13/11: Arizona. Finally. So, we might have taken the Pony Express. Literally. At least it was pretty!
Night of 12/31/11: Liquid courage. I mean, a refreshment after such a long trip.
By the way, have you ever heard of Calculated Couples? It was going on in your hotel for NYE. I did not attend since it sounded very…calculated.
Morning of 1/1/12: Happy New Year from beautiful Arizona! Palm trees and fabulous weather I could definitely get used to!
Breakfast nachos from Daily Dose, a most delicious restaurant in Scottsdale. In fact, it was so delicious we went there twice!
I have no pictures of this because I spent most of my time in Dillard’s and the rest of the time trying not to get lost, but after breakfast we spent most of the day at the Fashion Square Mall. It. Was. Huge.
Then we went for a little walk around and around before dinner.
Sometime during the afternoon of 1/1/12: Cousin Carissa finds the perfect man.
Sometime during the afternoon of 1/1/12: We found this neat-o fountain to ooo and aaa over and then proceeded to take a bunch of pictures posing in front of it.
Evening of 1/1/12: Downtown Scottsdale was like walking through a twinkling fairy wonderland.
Later in the evening of 1/1/12: The Old Town Tortilla Factory. Quite an interesting place. Especially when it’s full of rowdy OSU fans!
And now, finally, we have arrived at our destination! January 2, 2012. Otherwise known as the day the Pokes took down the Cardinal!
Orange shoes? Check!
Orange shirt? Check!
Fancy stadium? Check!
Let’s get this party started!
Literally.
The Pregame Party! But, more on that later.
After a short, possibly one day long, but definitely not month long, intermission I shall return with the conclusion to this oh so wonderful story.
TTFN!

Happy New Year…17 Days Late
So, the new year has come and gone. I, apparently, decided (without actually realizing it) to take a break from blogging. But, I’m back! I do so love to bore people with my ridiculous goings on and my sometimes insane amount of iPhone pictures. Anyway, here I am, and here is what’s been going on the last month or so (I am going to break it up, though, or this would be the longest blog post in the history of blog posts. Whew. Even saying that took a long time).
Family pictures! Do they still count as family pictures if it’s only part of your family and if it’s only the children from some of the family? I’ll vote on this with a Yes.
The lovely Heather Beadles, a photographer out of Edmond, OK took these for my grandmother back in November. Yes, I know, that was last year! I’m such a procrastinator.
This is my favorite of the bunch of us. Transalation: this is the one where I thought I looked the best. Ha!
I’m just going to say it…no, this is not an engagement picture.
I don’t know why, but everyone always thinks that pictures of my baby brother (yes, I know he’s way taller than I am, but I’m still older so that still makes him the baby) and I are engagement photos. I mean, come on…do we not look almost exactly alike? Except for that giant beard? And maybe my much better groomed eyebrows?
I really thought I didn’t like this one the first time I saw it and not because it isn’t a beautiful picture. Because it really is, but because it has me in it. Are we all our own worst critics? I know I am.
See that sweet lady in the center? Don’t be fooled! She’s none other than the grandma who forced me to eat lettuce! Lettuce is so nasty, but lettuce aside, this is a fabulous photo of a grandma with all the lights of her life.
I can’t thank Heather enough for taking such gorgeous photos of our crazy group!
Coming up on The Everyday Ordinary, I will most likely gloss over December like it didn’t even happen. Ok, that’s not true, but I won’t get into it too much because what I really want to share is my trip to the Fiesta Bowl.
Catch you peeps later, over and out!
