This kid cracks me up. I point a camera at her, the eyes start to roll, and the dimple pops out.
Or should I say in since it’s a dimple not a pimple?
It’s questions like these that keep me up at night.
There go those eyes…
Oh man, can she roll those things!
Ah! Here comes that dimple!
A little more…
Almost there…
There it is! Deep as the Grand Canyon.
Then she did this…
She giggled like the little giggle monster she is.
If only I had done a better job of focusing on her and not the cup. Oh well, learning is a process and I’m definitely still learning. I sure do love my camera, though, and this silly little girl!

It’s Friday, Friday
I hope I’m not the only one who gets this song stuck in their head when they say, it’s Friday. Then you just have to go ahead and add the other Friday because well, the song is in your head as soon as the last syllable leaves your mouth.
Of course, I’m showing you the Glee version because Glee is my life. And well, I pretty much always prefer the Glee version to the real deal.
Like this song for example:
I just can’t help myself.
I’m weird. I know this. I’ve accepted it.
In other news, yesterday was Thanksgiving. I ate. I ate a lot.
Seriously. Check out my dessert plate.
Yes, that is a pile of whipped cream. To the side. I repeat, I’m weird.
See that lovely square of dessert? I made it with this:
Pumpkin spice pudding. In a word: Yum-i-licious.
I love Thanksgiving. It’s so full of food. And there’s always so much food. It’s just the best food-filled holiday, isn’t it? I suppose the family time is good too. Especially if they bring food.
***We interrupt this program with late-breaking news!***
My doorknob fell off today. In my hand! What is going on I ask you?
So, my visiting grandmother and I put the dang thing back together and headed off to Lowe’s for a replacement.
Crisis averted. But, Shut the Front Door! Do I ever need to paint. Yikes!
We’ll now end our regularly scheduled programming with this bit of crazy cuteness:
Kitty cat lap blankets are the best.
Happy Holidays!

Photo Challenge Week 17 : Someone I Love
This is my “little” brother. I don’t know why, but I just love this picture of him, and well, I guess I love him too.
It’s amazing how you can grow up practically hating your siblings because they’re always touching your stuff or poking you in the shoulder and just generally annoying you to the last straw, but then when you both grown up and become adults you can’t imagine your life without them.
My brother is someone I would consider to be a best friend as well as a family member. He listens when I need to vent. He hugs me when I need to cry. He really is the best (even if he has yet to come visit me at my new house and I’ve lived here over a year…).
I love you lots “little” brother.

Insta Friday List
1. So…I’m really into procrastination.
2. I’m also really into making lists, but only on my blog.
3. Also, I’m really into saying, “Also, I’m really into.”
4. Plus, you know what else I’m really into? Cell phone pictures. Particularly Instagram, but sometimes Hipstamatic just to change it up a bit.
5. The following lovelies are brought to you by: my amazing new, white as a cloud, iPhone. We shall call her Sylvia. And my right thumb.

Photo Challenge Week 16: Something I’ve Made
And again with the procrastination! Geez!
If you could get paid to put things off to the last possible minute, I’d be super rich! Ha!
I haven’t made too many things lately, but out of what I have made in the last few months this is definitely my favorite. My OSU ribbon wreath. B-E-A-U-tiful!
Next Week: Someone I Love

Photo Challenge Week 15 : Your Shoes
http://astepinthejourney.blogspot.com |
I’m always so behind on posting these things. I guess it’s the procrastinator in me.
Oh well, here goes…my shoes. Which are actually my favorite thing to take pictures of! Well, I like to call them feet shots, but it’s basically the same thing.
I took this at the Alumni Center the other day and I’m actually using it on the front of my graduation announcements. Fabulous, right?!
Here’s a sneak peek at my announcements.
Also fabulous, right?!
I love being fabulous.
Up next week (or in a couple of days since I insist on procrastinating so much): Something I’ve Made. I better get my craft pants on!

Friday, How I Love Thee
1. I love Friday!
2. You know what else I love? Making lists on my blog.
3. Also, I’ve travelled to the dark side. You are now looking at an iPhone user. I traded in the ‘ol Blackberry for a shiny new white rectangle of deliciousness.
4. I also love…INSTAGRAM! It’s equally as delicious as the iPhone itself.
5. Last Friday I took my second to last final of my college career.
6. Instagram captured it for me quite nicely, don’t you think?
7. This is actually the first picture I took. Are you surprised it’s a picture of my cat? You shouldn’t be.
8. Also, last Friday, I went to the WalkAround which is part of the awesomely amazing homecoming celebration OSU has every year.
9. Can you believe that is made out of tissue paper??? Yeah, me either, but it really and truly is.
10. It’s so much brighter over here on the dark side. I highly recommend it!

Photo Challenge Week 14 : Sunset
Oh my goodness, oh my goodness.
I feel like I haven’t blogged in years I’ve been so busy.
Plus, last weeks challenge really through me for a loop. I just could not get a decent silhouette picture so I just kinda…skipped it.
Do you think skipping week 13 is bad luck? I hope not!
This weeks challenge is sunset which I was only able to capture with my phone while speeding by it in my mom’s car (she drives like she’s in NASCAR!).
Right after my beloved Cowboys stomped all over the Baylor Bears at America’s Greatest Homecoming Celebration! this amazing beauty painted the sky. I wish I had had my real camera, but at least I was able to get this quick shot to keep my memory alive.
Next week is shoes. I definitely shouldn’t have a problem with that one. Ha!
